Relationships,
love and sex can be the source of both great joy and meaning, and also problems
and unhappiness. We understand that sexuality is an important part of a
person’s life story. We work with men and women about the connections between their
body, mind and feelings, and on taking emotional risks to
promote intimacy. Our approach is based on providing a safe and welcoming space
for discussion; being non-judgmental; respecting the scientific understanding
of the natural variation in human sexuality and sexual orientation; and on supporting
people to make desired changes and grow through their difficulties. People may
seek help about issues including sexual difficulties, balancing the needs of
self and other, taking time to explore sexual identity and taking steps towards
the future (e.g., coming out).
